According to Dré he was an ‘absurdly busy boy’ and his father had to come up regularly to calm things down. “I’m guessing that I have seen all the school benches in Almere, Loenen and Vinkeveen, because I was not at one, but at seven schools,” the singer writes. “I must have been bloody irritating to the teachers, because this bastard liked to get into mischief.”

If there was shit on the marble, André Hazes Senior showed up. He writes: ‘Sometimes he had already performed somewhere. Then he came to school with a beer too much and his blouse unbuttoned too far and slammed his fist on the table. We weren’t your average family, of course, and teachers didn’t know what to do with us.’
Miraculously, he still managed to obtain his VMBO-T diploma, between performances. ‘I remember having a #1 hit with ‘Thank you, my friend’ at the same time and getting a #1 on a music test because I refused to read music notes (…) I felt I learned more from boyfriends on the street . At the moment André writes little and enjoys a love trip with his Sarah in Ibiza, where he had a striking haircut. However, the singer was soon done with it, according to a series of photos on Instagram.
