With only a suitcase of clothes, the singer moved in with his new girlfriend Sarah van Soelen and her family. ‘Living in the house of Sarah’s family is very cosy’, André writes. ‘But now it’s nice to spend some time together. That’s why I went on an apartment hunt. I found a beautiful rental apartment in no time.’ There, however, the future neighbors turned out not to be interested in the Hazes scion. ‘What do you think? I am being refused by the residents’ committee! They didn’t want fans at the door.’

There was, however, no time to mourn. Father Van Soelen came up with the idea of joining financial forces: together they deposited fifty-fifty for a mortgage on an apartment in chic Hillegersberg. “Sarah and I often joke about moving in together so soon. (…) If things go wrong, at least we’ll end up with a good investment.”

For the time being, at least it doesn’t seem to go wrong between André and Sarah. In their first joint interview, the couple looks very much in love.
