Bad luck for the fans of André Hazes who were looking forward to the concerts that the Dutch singer would soon give in Flanders. Hazes is reportedly being treated for burnout complaints and cancels his performances in the Lotto Arena, the Oktoberhallen and in the Brielpoort, among other things.

It was already announced in mid-September that André Hazes (27) would cancel some performances in the Netherlands. Several concerts with us are now also cancelled. The reason would be a burnout, although the Belgian spokesman for Hazes’ management does not want to confirm this in so many words. However, the Dutch press has been reporting emotional exhaustion for several weeks and the Lotto Arena site also states that Hazes “is currently being treated in connection with burnout complaints”.

According to the Dutch media, the mental dip in which Hazes has suffered has to do with the corona crisis without performances and with developments in his private life. “André is used to living a turbulent life,” said his management in September. “Due to the corona crisis and the changes in his life, everything suddenly turned upside down. Still, he continued to make plans the whole time. Now the time has come for him to slow down and get back to full fitness.”

Hazes’ relationship with Monique Westenberg (43), the mother of his four-year-old son André, broke down earlier this year and shortly afterwards he met his current girlfriend, Sarah van Soelen. She was also obliged to seek help for burnout complaints. She traveled to Spain herself.

It is not the first time for André himself that he has been mentally depressed. In 2018 he already suffered from burnout symptoms.
