When Anderson Arroyo moved to Europe in February 2018, the young Colombian seemed to have a promising career ahead of him. However, events did not develop as he would have imagined.
The then 18-year-old defender thanked the Fortaleza team, in which he managed to attract the attention of the biggest clubs, packed his bags and moved to Liverpool with a vision of a big dream. He was looking forward to the Premier League, the Champions League, Jürgen Klopp and his star teammates in the dressing room. He couldn’t believe it. However, the reality was completely different.
The young man signed a contract with “The Reds”, but the club immediately sent him on loan to Mallorca, who included him in their second team. After the season ended, he returned to Anfield hoping for a new opportunity. However, in the summer of 2019, Liverpool sent him on another loan, this time to Gent, Belgium.
The footballer began to doubt more and more, but he was only 20 years old, so he still believed that he would get a chance. However, nothing changed in the following seasons either, and the Colombian defender went from one loan to another.
In the year 2019/20, he worked in the Czech team Mladá Boleslav, from where he went to the Spanish Salamanca and already in the summer of 2021 he moved to the club Mirandes.
Something strange happened last year. Liverpool have extended his contract until 2025 and if Anderson Arroyo was hoping for a turnaround in his career now, he was very wrong. The English club immediately sent him to Alavés, where he played 22 matches.
12 months have passed since then and the story remains the same. The Colombian still did not get the chance to experience the atmosphere in the cabin of “The Reds”, as this year he had to return to the second Spanish league and is currently visiting Andorra.
Anderson Arroyo has completed a loan move to FC Andorra for the 2023-24 season. ⤵

The footballer will be 24 years old in September, and since his arrival in England, this is already the seventh loan in a little over 5 years. It looks like he will have to wait a while to pull on a Liverpool shirt.
