This week it became known that DNA findings have been made as according to VG’s information may link Jan Helge Andersen to abuse against Lena Sløgedal Paulsen (10).

The finding is contrary to Andersen’s previous explanation that he only abused Stine Sofie Sørstrønen (8).

In mid-October was Jan Helge Andersen in a police interrogation in Oslo that lasted three days. In these interrogations, he was also confronted with the new DNA findings, according to VG’s information.

According to TV 2 During interrogation, Andersen is said to have been confronted with the information that DNA traces have been found that the police believe may link him to Paulsen. According to the channel, Andersen is asked what he thinks about this, and they write that they are informed that Andersen then opens up that he may have had a blackout.

Later in the interrogation, Andersen says according to TV 2’s information that if he has committed abuse against both girls, then one is “completely gone”.

VG has been in contact with Andersen’s lawyer Svein Holden, and Kristiansen’s lawyer Arvid Sjødin, who does not want to comment on the case.

The Friend of the Fatherland, who first discussed the content of the interrogations, writes that Andersen in these interrogations is said to have denied having carried out the abuses alone. Asked if he may have abused both victims, he explains according to the newspaper that he only remembers abusing one of them.

According to the newspaper, Andersen answers in interrogations several times that in that case he “must have had a blackout” if it were to vote.

Also NRK writes that they are familiar with parts of the content of the interrogations Fædrelandsvennen refers to.

No new DNA findings against Kristiansen

Lena Sløgedal Paulsen (10) and Stine Sofie Sørstrønen (8) were found killed in Baneheia in May 2000. The former comrades Jan Helge Andersen and Viggo Kristiansen were convicted of assault and murder.

In February The Reopening Commission decided to reopen the criminal case against Viggo Kristiansen.

In 2002, Jan Helge Andersen was sentenced to 19 years in prison in the Agder Court of Appeal after admitting a role in the case. He also pointed to Viggo Kristiansen as the initiator and main man behind the crimes against the two underage girls. Andersen has served his sentence and was released a few years ago.

Kristiansen was sentenced to 21 years in prison, but has in all years denied criminal guilt.

Early in the spring of this year, the Oslo police district started the new investigation of the Baneheia murders, after the criminal case of Viggo Kristiansen was reopened.

VG has previously written that the new surveys has not produced new DNA findings against Viggo Kristiansen.
