Former attacker Luc Nilis has spent the past two weeks at Neerpede, where he shared his expertise as a striker coach with the players and the technical staff. Anderlecht wanted to continue with Nilis, but the negotiations about a longer stay went wrong.
“After a unanimously positive evaluation of Luc’s stay, we made a concrete proposal and looked for an agreement to keep him with us longer,” says Karel Van Eetvelt, CEO of RSC Anderlecht.
“Unfortunately, the financial expectations and the efforts the club could make at the moment turned out to be too far apart. Nevertheless, we would like to thank him for his commitment and wish him all the best in his search for a new challenge. ”
Luc Nilis: “I enjoyed these two weeks and would also like to thank RSCA for the opportunity I got. Vincent Kompany and his staff work extremely hard and very professional, it was a pleasure to meet. “
“I wish the Purple & White every success for the rest of this season. We will certainly bump into each other in the future. Anderlecht will always stay ‘home’ for me.”
