Anderlecht banned Vercauteren from coming to the press conference

On Monday, Vercauteren would have liked to participate in the press conference announcing that Vincent Kompany had been appointed as a new coach. Initially, Vercauteren was expected to be present, but the club bosses have changed their minds. Vercauteren was asking to be able to explain himself to the media, but the bosses refused. In the morning, Vercauteren had wanted to attend the match between OHL B and Anderlecht B alongside Vincent Kompany (see photo below), even though he knew his adventure was coming to an end.
