According to the statement, ANDA offered to pay 400 thousand pesos a month to La Casa del Actor during the course of the legal process, however, this proposal has been rejected on several occasions.
The labor union National Association of Actors, better known as YOU, shared a statement through their social networks in which they gave a “legitimate response” to the concern of their community.
There is a controversy around ANDA and The Actor’s House for an alleged mismanagement that has been denounced by actors such as Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo Y Julieta Bracho.
In its clarification, the association explained that “it was never intended of the current National Executive Committee of ANDA detach from its responsibility Y obligation to provide support to our fellow guests of La Casa del Actor ”.
They added that the suspension of payments for the maintenance of said institution is due solely to the legal conflict that will initiate the current board of La Casa del Actor against ANDA.
They reported that ANDA has not withdrawn support from their fellow guests at the actor’s house and that they continue to provide social welfare services that make up medical, hospital, medicine and funeral services.
Casa del Actor rejects proposal on several occasions
According to the statement, ANDA offered pay 400 thousand pesos a month to La Casa del Actor during the course of the legal process, however, this proposal has been rejected on several occasions by representatives of this institution such as Mario Eduardo Moreno Laparade, Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo and Javier Coello Trejo.
Conflict is not with La Casa del Actor
ANDA expressed that its fight is not with La Casa del Actor, “but with the administration that of this it carries its current board of trustees by virtue of the refusal to legally verify the expenses made by the institution so that they can be reimbursed by the union ”.
They asked for more transparency from the current Board of Trustees of La Casa del Actor, since according to ANDA “it has cost all union members around 750 thousand pesos a month without there being a clear verification of said expenses ”.
They assured that they hope this conflict will come to an end soon for the benefit of all the actors, since “It is the good and transparent administration of their contributions that guarantees the permanence of each and every one of the services offered by the union: social security, child care and retirement mainly. The waste or mismanagement of one necessarily affects another ”.
