The latest generation of the flagship Xiaomi, i.e. Wed 11, will be presented on December 28, but we already know almost everything about it. Apparently, it is supposed to surprise us with its amazing sound, thanks to the cooperation with the harman / kardon company.
However, I have the impression that it will attract more attention by following the Apple trend in the form of no charger in the box.
Harman / Kardon and Xiaomi cooperation
The Chinese company decided to show the world that its flagships can be purchased with complete premium products. Series Wed 10 improved the camera by using the 108 Mpix matrix, catching up with the leaders. This year, Xiaomi is taking another step to provide us with the highest sound quality, which is to be helped by cooperation with the company harman / kardon – a world-famous and prestigious audio brand, which (I will add as a curiosity) belongs to Samsung since 2017.
However, we have often found out that the very logo of a well-known company on the housing of the equipment does not mean that it will stand out qualitatively – so we will have to wait until the first reviews of the equipment for the verdict whether this cooperation has brought positive results.
Nice speaker, but what about this charger?
Not so long ago, everyone was laughing at Applethat you want to earn some extra money from customers under the guise of caring for ecology without adding the charger in boxes with new smartphones. Some of us probably remember the mocking Samsung ads pointing out this to the Cupertino company, which were then quietly removed to prepare for a similar step next year (yes, the Galaxy S21 will also be missing the charger in the box).
It turns out that the example of Apple was enough for others to also become interested in ecology in this topic, and so Xiaomi poses on the graphics with his beautiful, slimmed-down sales box. Slim just about the charging accessory, because – as he claims Lei Jun:
–
We have many chargers at home, so let’s take care of the ecology and not create more electro-waste. There is only one problem – I currently do not have a 120 W or even 65 W charger at home, probably you too. This means that if you want to use the fast charging technology in the new flagship, we will have to … buy it separately from Xiaomi. However, the decision whether it is actually an environmental movement or a simple cash jump – I leave it to you.
Finally, let me just remind you that the premiere of the new flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 already tomorrow – 28 December 2020.
