/ world today news/ Plamen Uzunov, acting minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and now President Rumen Radev’s secretary for legal issues and corruption, posed as Hitler in photos shown on the show “Masters of the Air”.
The photos were sent to the editorial mail of the show. On them, Uzunov has the characteristic Hitler moustache, and in one of the photos, the salute with an outstretched hand, characteristic of the Third Reich, has been replaced by a heavy metal sign.
Later, Uzunov confirmed their authenticity to “24 Hours” by explaining that the footage was from a New Year’s masquerade celebration in 2003. “We were three or four families. After the raffle, I decided to put on this uniform,” commented Uzunov, adding that at the time he was an ordinary policeman in Plovdiv.
The head of state himself took a firm position when Pavel Tanev, deputy minister of regional development, posed for a photo with the Hitler salute. Tanev resigned and left.
A scandal also arose with Ivo Antonov, who was just celebrating his appointment as the head of the most financially favorable directorate in the Ministry of Defense – the social department.
