We made an effort, but no agreement was reached and it was correct to come and announce this decision that we are not able to broadcast a prime minister. This was stated by Rumen Hristov from the Reform Bloc upon the return of the mandate.
The President thanked for the efforts made and said that “in front of the eyes of the whole people and the whole nation in the National Assembly, in a very correct and institutional way, you conducted negotiations. I suppose that these negotiations ultimately did not lead to the result that I hoped for as the head of state. The constitutional procedure is over and we are moving towards extraordinary parliamentary elections”, declared Plevneliev.
Borislav Velikov and Kostadin Markov were also present at the meeting. Hristov thanked the president for his efforts.
