/ world today news/ The Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office brought Simeon Dyankov as a defendant in the case of the sale of the state’s shares in “EVN Elektrorazpradelenie Bulgaria” AD for an official crime related to the privatization of state property.
According to the pre-trial proceedings of the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office, in which the former Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traicho Traikov and Ivo Prokopiev were brought as defendants, today the SGP also brought Simeon Dyankov – former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance – as a defendant.
He is charged with the fact that in the period May 2011 – June 2011, in his capacity as an official holding a responsible position, in complicity with Ivo Prokopiev – Dyankov as the perpetrator, and Prokopiev as the instigator, he exceeded his authority and rights with the aim of obtaining a benefit for “BULBROCERS” EAD in the amount of BGN 1,276,618.85. The crime is related to the privatization of state property, and the act has caused significant harmful consequences for the Bulgarian state – BGN 20,829,200 in property damage. The crime is related to the privatization of state property and is a crime under Art. 283a, item 1, cf. art. 282, para. 2, top para. 1, cf. Art. 20, para. 2, paragraph para. 1 of the NC.
In violation of the Law on Administration, the Organizational Rules of the Ministry of Finance and in the Order for Designating the Department of the Deputy Prime Minister, Simeon Dyankov has ordered the Executive Director of the Agency for Privatization and Post-Privatization Control to commission the preparation of a privatization assessment for the purposes of the privatization of the remaining state share in the amount of 33% of the capital of “EVN Bulgaria Elektrorazpradelenie” AD to the selected investment intermediary “BULBROCERS” EAD. According to the ZAPC – “The preparation of assessments is assigned to independent assessors according to the Law on Independent Assessors”. In this way, he limited the ability of the executive director of the APSC to exercise these powers, and as a result, significant harmful consequences for the budget of the Republic of Bulgaria have occurred. are property damages in the amount of BGN 20,829,200, representing the understated value by “BULBROCERS” EAD of the 51,512 shares announced for sale, representing 33% of the capital of “EVN Bulgaria Elektroraspradelenie” AD.
