The leader of the winner of the early parliamentary elections GERB – Boyko Borisov, announced on the night of the election that he gives himself a hundred percent chance to form a government, but not “if all these parties join”. When asked if he is ready to form a government with DPS-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski, Borisov said he is ready to govern with anyone who supports the GERB program.
“We can negotiate with everyone without “Vazrazhdane”. I congratulate them on the result, but we are in separate families,” he said.
“We will work, we can work for a government. Everyone should study the results. We will not talk after the elections, but let’s not say that nothing is beautiful and not right, and we will thank to all the Bulgarians who took the trouble to vote. And I will tell the sad voices of sadness, anger and hatred to all the citizens who stood behind GERB and voted for everything we have proposed it,” said Boyko Borisov.
According to him, many changes can be achieved before tomorrow morning, considering the results of the count, which currently indicates an eight-party parliament, which means fewer representatives for GERB and PP -DB and the need for discussions with many parties. Borisov also said that, according to him, the minimum threshold for entering the parliament should be increased, which is currently 4 percent of the voters’ votes.
“There can be no claims against us for a bought vote,” Borisov also said.
He described GERB’s influence as “classification and if we are guided by the maxim “The voice of the people – the voice of God” every leader should sleep and no one should jump over the result of the election”.
“We can accept to make compromises, but we will not change the vote of the people. Our program will be basic for everyone who wants to have a government. We will not be guided by spells. Some have already started to set conditions and want a party with absolute winners to surrender to a party with twice lower results,” the GERB leader also said.
