For the first time in my life, I went to a meeting of the much criticized Universal Church of the Kingdom of God and shared practices and prayers with those present.
That day, the Pastor approached the place where I was, looked at me fixedly and pointed his finger at me.
I piously knelt down and he placed his hands on my head and cried aloud:
– You are going for a walk today.
And I answered him in a low voice:
– But I don’t have any mobility problems.
He ignored my answer and almost shouting, exclaimed:
– Brother, today you will walk!
All those present in the Assembly, with their hands in the air, began to cry and say:
– You will walk!
Again, I tried to explain that I didn’t have any problems with my lower limbs, but to no avail.
Growing stronger and more energetic, he repeated:
– You will walk!!!
While the Assembly, in a trance, shouted even louder:
– Brother, you will walk!!!
I chose to shut up and let that awkward moment pass.
When the act was over, I left the Assembly, and believe it or not, the damn pastor was right… My car had been stolen!!!
