The ancient Batavia aqueduct and the ancient Glodok bridge were found at the project site MRT Jakarta phase 2A Glodok-Kota. The director of works of MRT Jakarta, Silvia Halim, explained that the place where the two cultural heritage objects were found was close to the old tram tracks that had previously been found.
“Yesterday, you know there is a tram here, we opened it here, eh, there is the ancient Glodok bridge. Then we come here, we meet again, there is another Old Batavia aqueduct,” he said Silvia at the Jakarta MRT Journalists Forum in Wisma Nusantara, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (20/9/2022).
