Crocodile Tortoise
Or Pelusios castaneus, is a species of tortoise that has existed for millions of years and is believed to have characteristics similar to tortoise species from the past.
Palolo worm
Or Palola viridis, is a species that dates back to the Precambrian, about 500 million years ago. Palolo worms have a unique breeding cycle and only occur once a year in certain locations.
Although some ancient animals have survived to this day, the majority of ancient animal species have become extinct over time. The process of extinction is a natural part of evolution and the history of life on Earth.
