Real Madrid have to chase a goal deficit against Manchester City in leg II semifinals Liga Champions. Carlo Ancelotti knows what El Real needs.
Madrid vs Man City took place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Thursday (5/5/2022) early morning WIB. The match will kickoff at 2.00 WIB.
Madrid are behind 3-4 on aggregate from Man City. In the first leg of the Champions League semifinals, the Madrid goal was alternately broken by Kevin de Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden, and Bernardo Silva.
Madrid keep chances by scoring three goals. Karim Benzema scored a brace, another goal was recorded for Vinicius Junior.
Madrid need a win by a two-goal margin to qualify for the Champions League final. The reason is that the away goals rule was abolished by UEFA in European club competitions this season.
Ancelotti is aware that Madrid will undergo a tough mission. Los Blancos are said to need these things in order to realize their ambition to reach the final.
“If you are in the semi-finals of the Champions League, the final or even if you win it, your heart is not enough,” Ancelotti said at Mundo Deportivo.
“Personality is important, but there are many other crucial factors such as individual quality and team commitment. If we want to win that, hearts will not be enough, nor will the encouragement from the supporters at the Bernabeu which will obviously be given to us.”
“You need all of this to win the Champions League, just some of it won’t be enough to make it happen,” said the coach who delivered Madrid won the Spanish League this season added.
