Champions League
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti can clinch another Champions League title.
The meeting with Manchester City was his 190th game in the tournament.
He thereby equals Sir Alex Ferguson’s record.
In the player above, you see Vini Junior give Real Madrid the lead against City.
He has won the Champions League title four times as a manager. Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti’s first came in the 2002/03 season when he was able to lift the trophy with Milan.
The Italian is, in other words, experienced in the tournament. With the first meeting with Manchester City in this year’s Champions League semi-final, Ancelotti is now up to 190 events. He thus surpasses Sir Alex Ferguson for the number of matches in the CL, reports CBS Sports.
No one else has made more matches. If no unforeseen circumstances occur, Ancelotti is expected to get past Ferguson in the return meeting with City.
The last time he won the Champions League was in 2021/22. He is thus the reigning champion with Real Madrid.
