ANBG: scholarship decisions will be known no later than September – AGP

Libreville, August 5, 2023 (AGP) – The Director General of the National Scholarship Agency of Gabon (ANBG), Sandra Flore Mambari Pinze épse Abessolo, indicated during the closing this Saturday in Libreville, activities relating to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Agency that the scholarship decisions will be known no later than next September.

Organized under the theme: ANBG, a decade at the service of Gabonese youth », this meeting made it possible to highlight the scholarship management policy in Gabon, but also its evolution since 2011. Which involves the overhaul of new texts governing the operation of the agency, but also digitalization in the case information from the administration via the establishment of the e-bourse platform.

This celebration was an opportunity to provide answers to the questions of Gabonese students in relation to the delay in payment of scholarships which is explained by the complexity of the procedures of the expenditure chain.

Concerning the support of the student which depends on the place of study in which he is directed, the ANBG specified that it takes into account only the registration and the tuition fees. Any additional costs do not concern the agency.

With regard to cooperation scholarships, the Agency says it is working in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this issue. The minister invited for the occasion, did not fail to provide details.

« The issue of cooperation scholarships participate in the external actions of the State. When a country responding to our desire to strengthen our bilateral relations informs us of its intention to bring to our attention a certain number of scholarships, we bring to the attention of the ANBG information relating to the draft cooperation so that it makes it widely available and allows our children to obtain this scholarship according to the criteria specific to the ANBG explained Minister Herman Imongault.

The professional integration of young people was not left out. The ANPI and the PNPE presented the policies put in place to support young people in self-employment.

Many participants were satisfied with these exchanges. “Coming here, I learned a lot of things including that if the documents are uploaded to the wrong place, the child’s file can be cancelled. It struck me,” said a parent of students.

The director general, for her part, invited the parents to let go. ” The parents that we are, we just have to control and let the children take the initiative. Children are blamed for not seeking information, but parents are the source. Our children are future personalities. You have to let go ”, emphasized Sandra Flore Mambari Pinze pseudonym Abessolo.

Students and parents of students were invited to regularly consult the agency’s communication channels to be aware of the various information. The agency indicated that the scholarship decisions will be known no later than next September.
