Anatoly Vasiliev won the love of the public thanks to his roles in “The Crew”, “Little Vera” and the series “Balzac’s Age, or All Men Are Theirs…”. The artist became the main star of the cinema of the 80s, but few people knew how dramatically the life of the idol of millions developed outside the set.
The fact is that while still a student, the artist met Tatyana Itsykovich. While filming together, the young actors fell in love with each other and became a couple, and in 1973 they tied the knot. The couple’s son Philip appeared five years after the wedding.
But the relationship between Anatoly and Tatyana Vasilyev became worse day by day. And in 1983 they decided to divorce, and Philip remained in the full care of his mother. Tatyana forbade her husband to communicate with her son, but little Philip did not understand why dad disappeared from his life.
For 25 years, Anatoly and Philip did not communicate. The boy refused to recognize the famous artist as his father, and only Vasilyev Sr.’s second wife, Vera, managed to improve their relationship. She became a link, and father and son began to gradually restore communication. The relatives had to get to know each other anew, but in the end they managed to forget past grievances and misunderstandings.
