Anastasios Tsinas: The dean of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Ioannina was found dead – 2024-03-16 08:35:53

The professor, Dean of the Department of Agriculture, of the University of Ioannina, Anastasios Tsinas, was found dead at his home in Arta on Friday.

According to ERT, the 58-year-old professor had not shown signs of life in the last few days, did not appear at the School and did not answer the phones, as a result of which his colleagues informed the police authorities.

Police rushed to his house and found his body. Death was most likely from natural causes. Clear answers are expected to be given by the forensic examination.

Who was Athanasios Chinas?

Anastasios Tsinas was a graduate and doctor of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the AUTH and was a professor of the Department of Agricultural Technologists of the TEI of Epirus, specializing in “Agricultural Animal Pathology and Veterinary Pharmacology”.

From February 2013 until November 2017 he was Deputy President of TEI Epirus with responsibilities for Academic Affairs, Personnel, Student Care & Building Facilities. From December 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018, he was the new Rector of the former TEI of Epirus.
