Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo said the tech company will keep producing the iPad mini even as it is developing an iPad with a shape folding or it can be folded.
At the launch of GSM Arena on Friday, the iPad mini was previously rumored to be removed from Apple’s product lineup due to the presence of the iPad folding which is currently under development.
Ming said that the iPad mini is still being maintained because there are still many enthusiasts in the market and the price of the iPad fold even later still superior to the mini variant.

The newest iPad mini was released by Apple in 2021, even though it has been a year, it seems that this product still has a lot of interest.
Even amidst the recent price hike, people are still on the lookout for the product.
Therefore, it seems that Apple will not make the 2021 iPad mini the latest line of the iPad mini.
Apple is also reportedly developing new technology for the Apple mini through development chipset which has faster performance.
As for 2021, Apple has locked down chip A15 Bionic on the iPad mini.
The presence of iPad mini with chipset Ming is estimated to appear in late 2023 or Q1 2024 with a chip between the A16 Bionic or A17 Bionic.
On the other hand, Apple is now considering moving iPad production to India as almost all of its factories are located in China and affected by every wave of COVID-19 including the recent one.
As for foldable devices, analysts believe Apple will start with an iPad-sized device because it will be easier to manufacture than an iPhone-sized device.
Estimated product folding it will launch in 2024 with a very large launch potential considering that Apple is already working with Samsung and LG on the development of a foldable 20-inch OLED screen.
