The loser of the night was undoubtedly Nikki Haley. She had hoped for a miracle but ended up underperforming in several states and ultimately winning only a handful of the night’s 800-plus delegates at stake.
But people still went and voted for her. She won the election in Vermont, and in several other states she received 20-30-35 percent support, and according to a North Carolina polling station, that is worrying for Trump:
Just 18 percent of Haley’s voters there said they would vote Republican in the presidential election even if Haley were not the candidate.
