Analysis of Latvian Entrepreneurship and Financial Markets in ‘The Added Value’ Program

As in the last year, also in the program The added value we look back a little and also a little forward: we talk both about what the financial markets have brought to our pensions, and about what happened with the founding of companies.

Last year, more companies were registered than liquidated – this, in fact, hopeful news was spread by “Lursoft”. Does this mean that the number of Latvian entrepreneurs is growing and more and more people are throwing themselves into business, analyzes Daiga Kiopa, member of the board of “Lursoft”.

These years are like a carousel roller coaster – up, down, one sharp turn after another. And not only in the economy, but also in international politics. All of which, of course, affect each other and together – also our lives.

Although the stock markets – in recent years have scared us with falls, tempted us with rises. And before you throw your hands away that there are no shares, no investments, and it doesn’t affect me, I would like to remind you that the story of the stock market is largely the story of our pension savings. And there this year has been among the good ones. Says Oskars Briedis, Asset Manager of “Swedbank” Investment Management.
