Analog TV Broadcasts in 3 Regions will be Turned Off as of April 30, 2022, Here’s How to Switch to Digital TV

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Migration stage analog TV broadcast to digital TV broadcasts (Analog Switch Off/ASO) officially starting on Saturday (30/4/2022) today.

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) will start shutting down analog TV broadcast in a number of areas.

Termination analog TV broadcast will be held in stages and phase I will target three areas.

The three regions are East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), West Papua, and Riau with a total of eight regencies/cities.

As a result, residents in these eight areas will no longer be able to watch TV using regular antennas and will have to switch to digital TV.

Announcement of termination analog TV broadcast in these three areas was conveyed directly by the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G Plate.

“Fixed stop analog TV broadcast the first stage starts from three broadcast areas, which are in three provinces and in eight regencies/cities,” Johnny said at a press conference titled Kick Off Analog Switch Off (ASO) Phase 1, Friday (29/4/2022).

There are eight regencies/cities in three provinces which analog TV broadcastwhich will be completely shut down on April 30, 2022 are:

– NTT-3 : North Central Timor Regency
