The presentation that the Spanish singer Ana Torroja had planned for this next February 12 at the Coca Cola Music Hall in San Juan was rescheduled for April 22, reported Tuesday the production of the show.

The change of date is given by the reported cases of covid-19 on the island.

“Taking into consideration the health and well-being of all, we made the decision to postpone Ana Torroja’s concert scheduled for February 12 in Puerto Rico,” Christian Gonzalez, producer of the concert, said in a press release.

“We regret the inconvenience this decision may cause, but our priority is to bring the quality of Ana Torroja’s show to Puerto Rico in a safe environment for everyone to enjoy,” added González.

According to the production, on April 22 the public will be able to revive the repertoire of the Mecano group, to which Torroja belonged, which marked an era.

Therefore, the artist will present a special show in which she will relive the successes of the renowned group, among others.

Tickets purchased for the date of February 12 will be valid for the new date.

In addition, tickets are available for sale at Ticketera.com.

Born in Madrid, on December 28, 1959, Torroja has maintained her own solo career since 1997 after finishing her stage with Mecano.

With more than 25 million records sold in the world, Mecano was at the top of the radio charts in France, the United States and Latin America, reaching also great recognition in other countries outside the Spanish musical culture such as Japan, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom or the Netherlands.

Torroja released five albums and numerous singles such as “A contratiempo”, “No me canso”, “Sonrisa y llama”, among some of the best known.

His first solo album was “Puntos Cardinales” (1997), recorded at Stone Room and Abbey Road studios in London.
