Ana Pontón values stopping leading the BNG | Radio Galicia

Totally unexpected and after a meeting of the executive to prepare the start of the political course, the national spokesperson of the BNG, Ana Pontón has made public today its intention to “open a process of personal reflection” to decide whether or not to continue leading the BNGA formation that from his hand has achieved 19 deputies in the Parliament, positioning himself as the leading force of the opposition in Galicia.

“I believe that this process of reflection is necessary and useful for the political moment that nationalism is experiencing and to determine what our role is,” said Pontón, adding that “You should never take anything for granted, either in life or in politics.”.

The BNG leader faces this reflection in the months prior to the celebration of the XVII assembly that the block has set for November 7. When asked by journalists, Ana Pontón assured that she felt supported by her party while adding that “the BNG has a lot of valid people” and that his decision has nothing to do with whether or not there are more candidates. but rather that he believes that in politics you always have to question what you do.

Pontón has not set deadlines on the time given to decide whether or not to present its candidacy to an assembly that “It has to be the beginning of a new cycle in which the BNG is a decisive actor” and that is why “it is not only a time for collective reflection”, it is also a time for “reflection on what my role should be”.
