Ana Marcela Cunha is in 4th place in the water marathon in Paris 2024

The position of the best water marathon runner in the world was once again occupied by the Dutch Sharon van Rouwendaal, champion at the Rio Olympics in 2016. She passed Moesha Johnson of Australia at the end of a dispute this Thursday, at Paris 2024 Games, for her second Olympic competition. Italian Ginevra Taddeucci was third. Tokyo 2020 gold medalist Ana Marcela Cunha came close to the podium – however, she finished the race in fourth place. The Bahian represented Brazil on the Seine River with Viviane Jungblut, in 11th place.
