Ana Mafalda Ferreira and Rúben Amaral Win 48th São Silvestre da Amadora Race

Sporting athlete Ana Mafalda Ferreira, in the women’s race, and club mate Rúben Amaral, in the men’s race, won the 48th edition of São Silvestre da Amadora this Sunday.

With the starting gun being given at 18:00, Ana Mafalda Ferreira, winner of the 2018 and 2019 edition, completed the 10 kilometers after 34.40 minutes, ahead of Mónica Silva, from Salgueiros (34.51) and Joana Ferreira, from Águeda (34.57), second and third placed, respectively.

In the men’s race, it was up to Rúben Amaral, with a time of 30.19 minutes, to cross the finish line in first place and put his name on the list of winners for the first time.

The Sporting athlete overcame competition from Duarte Gomes, from Benfica (30.28) and David Silva, from Sporting de Braga (30.42).
