Ana Lucía Mendoza Arzuaga, health secretary of the municipality of San Diego, Cesar, has assumed her position with a firm commitment to the well-being of the population. A psychologist specialized in Legal and Forensic Psychology, and a university professor, Mendoza has stood out for her work aimed at strengthening health governance under national guidelines and directives, with the aim of minimizing corruption, promoting equity and guaranteeing sustainability in the system. local health.
In tune with the reforms promoted by President Gustavo Petro, especially within the framework of the Ten-Year Public Health Plan (PDSP), Mendoza has been key in the implementation of basic health equipment in San Diego, a strategy designed to provide medical care to the most remote and vulnerable areas, reducing long-term costs through early detection of diseases.
In coordination with the ESE Hospital El Socorro, it executes the Collective Intervention Plan (PIC), addressing issues of mental health, disability, child malnutrition and care for vulnerable populations. From the Ministry of Health, Mendoza is working on the implementation of inclusive, equitable and efficient models, with a team of leaders in charge of each program. Coordination with the educational institutions of the municipality has been a key pillar, achieving comprehensive coverage throughout the corregimental area and the municipal seat.
Among the achievements, the certification of 70 people with disabilities, the training of 85 caregivers and the delivery of 41 technical aids stand out. This work reinforces the commitment of Mendoza and his team to ensuring inclusive, quality health care for all San Diego residents.
