Daily Al-Marsad – SPA: Yesterday the Food and Drug Authority stopped the production line of a food factory in Najran, after monitoring the contamination in raw materials.
The SFDA said its monitoring and investigation operations led its inspectors to detect contamination in products of raw materials used in the manufacturing process at a food factory in Najran, and the appearance of mold and insects and traces of corruption on they, as well as a number of other technical violations.
The authority confirmed that it had shut down the factory’s production line and seized the factory’s raw materials and entire product, noting that it had summoned the owner of the facility to complete legal proceedings against the factory and to take samples from the local market to ensure product safety.
He called on the “Food and Drug Administration” to report violations of the facilities under its supervision by calling the unified number (19999), or through the authority’s “Tamni” application available on the “IOS” and “Android” operating systems.
