Microsoft promises that the updates for Windows 10X will be installed in less than 90 seconds. The real problem with updates is somewhere else.
“Please don’t turn off your computer. Updates are installed, ”the computer writes just when you really need it. To transfer money. Write a very, very important email. To work. With the update you will be forced to take a break. For drinking coffee. Smoking (evil). Put it together (good). Or to think about how addicted you are now to electronic devices and social media if you look at the screen every three seconds.
You can do a lot in such a forced break. After all, major security updates can take up to ten minutes, or even longer. That should now be the end, at least for Microsoft users. The wishes of the users? Negligible from the software manufacturer’s point of view. As if the users were not decision-making adults but children, you might think. But children also become very grumpy if you ignore their wishes.
