An unusual visit to Mošnov. The cargo Ilyushin Il-62 arrived from Belarus

This is the first arrival of this aircraft in Ostrava after five years.

Today, Ostrava Airport recorded an unusual visit to an aircraft, which is already a rarity in the countries of the European Union. The Ilyushin Il-62 aircraft, converted to a cargo version, arrived from the Belarusian city of Orsha.

The thirty-five-year-old aircraft registration EW-450TR belongs to the private Belarusian company Rada Airlines. A private carrier from Minsk is engaged in charter freight transport, the company is the last civil carrier in Europe to still operate these aircraft.

This is the first visit of this type in Ostrava in five years. The Il-62 was manufactured for over thirty years until 1995, and was also in operation at the then Czechoslovak Airlines. More slides are on LKMT Spotters Facebook profile.
