“I was convinced that in the situation where I extended the ball, it was not an offside. But when the referee asked me, I would not lie to him and relinquish responsibility,” Papadopulos told a news conference.

Papadopulos was appreciated by all players of the match. Zlín coach Bohumil Páník, who led the player in the Baník Ostrava junior, suggested a gesture to be appreciated.

The author of both goals, Poznar, also highlighted the sports gesture. “I told referee Orl to go ask Michal, who really admitted to him that the ball was running. Today’s winner of the match is Michal and I believe that he will get back to him soon. Hats off in front of him,” Poznar said.
“If the referees acknowledged the goal, there would be 20 minutes left in the end and Karviná would have a great chance to equalize. Poznar, who has five goals in this league season.
Karviná coach Juraj Jarábek believes that Papadopulos’ work will sometimes return to Karviná for good. “Michal showed a huge gesture of fair play. Papadopoulos was sorry that Karviná had two goals scored in the first nine minutes.
