Forecasters from Meteo Balkans are predicting rain and more rain on Sunday
After this week’s spring weather, the risk of thunderstorms is increasing over the coming weekend, according to Meteo Balkans’ analysis and latest forecasts.
On Saturday, the weather will be extremely dynamic. The day will be sunny and warm. Maximum temperatures over most of the country will exceed 17 degrees.
In the afternoon, however, thunderstorms await us over Eastern Bulgaria. Precipitation may also be accompanied by ice sleet, which is similar to hail, but the size of the ice pellets is significantly smaller.
Cloudiness will increase over western areas in the late afternoon and break over eastern areas.
On the night of Sunday, rain showers will begin over the extreme western and northeastern regions. It is also possible to thunder.
According to the EU model, on Sunday the weather will be determined by a passing cyclone and rain will fall in many places in our country, with more significant rain over Central and Southern Bulgaria. Snow will also fall on the high western fields and mountains.
The wind over the western areas will turn from the northwest, and over the eastern areas it will stay from the northeast and cold air will begin to invade.
