An Unseen Hadeling Noticed in Son

(Vestby Newspaper): Operations manager Joakim Ormaasen gives a brief update on the search operation to Vestby Avis.

– We have carried out some investigations during the weekend and we have searched together with our own crew. No discoveries have been made yet. Today, we receive assistance from voluntary organizations to conduct searches in certain areas. The search will be launched shortly, says the operations manager on Monday morning.

It was Saturday evening that the East police district went out and reported a man missing in Vestby. The man is a native of Hadeland, but is said to have disappeared from Hvitsten, and was last seen at Hvitsten village house on Saturday 18 March.

There has been a search in Hvitsten, but now the search is focused in the Son area.

In the past, the Innlandet police district has handled the case. On Saturday 25 March, however, the Eastern Police District got the case and launched the search operation in Vestby.

– There is reason to believe that he is staying in the Son area, informs the police.

But on Monday evening, the police wrote that the man may have moved far.

Observed in Son

The police have released an image of the man, from the surveillance camera at a Kiwi store.

The operations manager says that the photo from the store was taken on Monday 20 March.

– We have also received an observation from a tipster, now on Saturday. Then he is seen north of Son. This means that we are searching in the area. Our helicopter is also involved in the search, says the operations manager.

The last observation of the man was at Stamnestjernet, Saturday at 12.00.

Asking for tips

This is the description they have given of the man:

– 32 years old, 178 tall. Has shoulder length thick wavy medium blonde/reddish hair. May have a week’s beard, reddish. Green eyes, reads the description.

The man must be resident in Hadeland.

The police have asked for tips from people who have or may have observed the man.

– We encourage people who may have seen the person to contact the police, says Ormaasen.

The public is asked to call the police on 64999130.
