An unprecedented sentence for the murderer who froze the whole of Bulgaria – 2024-03-01 08:24:23

The court in Burgas imposed the heaviest punishment – life imprisonment without parole – on the construction entrepreneur Stanimir Ragevski.

The businessman was found guilty of the murders of 46-year-old realtor Teodora Bakhlova and 28-year-old construction worker Yumer Mehmed. He was sentenced to pay a total of BGN 400,000 in blood money to the daughter and mother of the murdered broker, as well as a total of BGN 40,000 to Mehmed’s mother and girlfriend, BLITZ reported.

In the courtroom and throughout the trial, Stanimir Ragevski remained silent and has not yet explained his motives for the brutal crime.

A property dispute was the reason for the murder of the broker. Behind the death of the 28-year-old man are unpaid financial funds. It is assumed that he knew about Bakhlova’s murder and blackmailed Ragevski for money.

All this became clear during the pre-trial proceedings. Both murders were carried out in an extremely brutal and identical manner. The two victims were killed with a Makarov pistol, with the factory number obliterated. Their bodies are then dismembered, placed in canisters of acid and buried in various locations around the city.

The weapon was found in a restaurant in the center of Burgas, managed by the accomplice of the businessman, who worked as a cook in the restaurant.

The verdict can be appealed within 15 days.

The prosecutor’s office defined the crime as extremely serious and unprecedented in judicial practice
