An “undersized” project: the future of the large Saint-Ouen hospital will go through the administrative court

This is one of the major projects of the decade in Seine-Saint-Denis. But is the construction of the university hospital center (CHU) of Saint-Ouen, whose opening is hoped for in 2028, really of public utility? A collective of caregivers, users and residents, leading the revolt against this project aimed at merging the Bichat hospitals in Paris (18th century) and Beaujon in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine), is no longer content with quibbles by interposed notes. They have just seized the administrative court to have the decree of March 14, 2022 declared of public utility the project of this new hospital, which must integrate 12,500 students from the University of Paris-Diderot.
