The MFAS (Mutuelle de France Alpes du Sud) has reacted to the crisis facing the intercommunal hospital center of the Southern Alps (CHICAS). “This situation is totally unacceptable,” said President Jean-Claude Eyraud in a press release. We demand that everything be done so that care is guaranteed in the best possible conditions. It is not acceptable that the surgical departments and the operating theater are shut down ”.
He insisted: “The permanence of care for the entire population of Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence must be guaranteed”. For the MFAS, “the State services, the chairman of the supervisory board and parliamentarians must intervene so that urgent support measures are taken and the situation calmed down”.
On Saturday April 3, some 200 people demonstrated in front of Chicas at the call of the FO and CFDT unions to warn about the future of surgical services and the operating room, faced with a wave of resignations and sick leave.
