For a city like Varna, which is the largest tourist center in Bulgaria, transport, the possibility of fast, affordable and comfortable movement of people and goods is of primary importance. Both for residents of Varna and for guests of our city.
There is no dispute that taxi transport is currently developing rather chaotically than with a clear vision and plan over time. However, it cannot develop separately and independently from other types of transport, so that they do NOT interfere with each other, but complement each other. I understand that you and your colleagues are of the same opinion.
I believe that the allocation of taxi ranks, as there is also a network of stops for city transport, is of primary necessity for the sustainable development and uniform coverage of the entire territory of the city and tourist complexes, as well as various sights. The creation of such a map, which is also electronic, is a goal that I will strongly support.
This transport, to be profitable, must be affordable. The creation of price tariffs takes place in the municipal council, but in no case not without the people from your industry. The ideas and experiences of foreign countries that you offer for consideration, for the optimization, organization and integration of taxi transport, are undoubtedly a basis for a real conversation. And the beginning of our joint work.
Mr. Doichev, I am a left-wing person and I am convinced that success comes first where there is an association. The collective beginning is the power of the worker, both in front of the employer and in all municipal and state institutions. Therefore, I am committed to assist with active assistance in the creation of a common trade union organization of all those working in your transport sector. Your work should be protected. Both as working conditions and as social benefits. This is my and my colleagues’ proposal to you.
