– On the 18th, the police received a report from a resident that “two children were left in a house full of garbage.” Afterwards, I visited A’s Yangchon-eup house with officials from local administrative welfare centers and child protection agencies.
When Mr. A, who was outside, opened the front door and entered the house together, they found a pile of trash and the 12-year-old group B and 6-year-old C. The siblings, who were in a modest state, were able to communicate, but the younger brother, Ms. C, could not behave well.
Mr. A said that the police made a statement to the effect that “it was difficult for me to take care of my children.” The police arrested Mr. A on charges of neglect of children, while handing over the siblings to a child protection agency.
An official from Gimpo City said, “Mr. A was not in a situation where he was having problems with his daily life because he had no health problems. The child protection agency requested an examination to the hospital to check Ms. C’s health, and we are waiting because we have not yet received the results.” Said.
The police are investigating the exact process against Mr. A, including how much he neglected these siblings.
