Al-Marsad Newspaper: A video clip, with good clarity, documented how France punished women who collaborated with German soldiers during World War II.
After France, with the help of the Allies, managed to liberate its lands and expel German soldiers, Paris decided to punish all traitors, including women who married occupiers or worked as spies.
The video showed that French forces rounded up women who worked or married German soldiers and shaved their hair in a public square.
Women accused of helping German soldiers stood in line as French forces shaved their hair, amid cheers and applause from those in the field.
