In the city of Tuapse, located in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation, on the night of January 25, a local oil refinery was on fire. This is reported by several Russian Telegram channels.
According to Mash, before the fire in the area of the refinery, the sounds of explosions were heard, local residents report the flight of several drones, which they saw both before and after the fire at the enterprise.
“Next to the refinery runs the central highway in the direction of Sochi, where the plan “Carpet” (closed sky) has now been announced,” the message reads.
The Sochi airport, located nearby, also does not accept flights, it is reported RT.
Throughout January, several attacks on energy facilities and defense enterprises carried out using drones took place in Russia.
Also, on the night of January 21, the Tula, Smolensk, and Oryol regions of Russia were attacked by drones. In Tula, local residents reported on Telegram channels that a drone hit the Shcheglovsky Val plant, which produces, in particular, defense products, including Pantsir air defense systems. The Tula authorities did not confirm the information. Later, the Governor of Bryansk Oblast Oleksandr Bogomaz informed about the UAV shot down over the territory of Klintsovsky District.
On January 19, Moscow announced that a Ukrainian drone had hit an oil depot in the Bryansk region in western Russia. A day earlier, Russian officials announced an alleged failed attempt to attack an oil terminal in the Baltic Sea.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine usually does not officially comment on these incidents and does not take responsibility for the attacks that Moscow claims.
