Hassan Shehata, Minister of Manpower, announced that next Thursday, corresponding to January 26, 2023, will be an official paid leave instead of Wednesday, corresponding to January 25, 2023, on the occasion of the anniversary of the January 25 revolution and the Police Day, for workers who are addressed by the provisions of Labor Law No. 12 of 2003.
According to a statement today, Friday, the ministry issued a circular to the manpower directorates in the governorates, to follow up on private establishments, explaining that next Thursday, corresponding to January 26, 2023, will be an official paid leave for workers in private sector companies, on the occasion of the anniversary of the January 25 revolution and Police Day, in The framework of keenness to unify the date of official holidays for all workers in the various sectors of the state – whenever possible – in order to achieve the goal of social and national official holidays on occasions and holidays.
The minister said: This publication comes in light of the Prime Minister’s Resolution No. (355) for the year 2023, regarding determining the holiday commemorating the January 25 revolution and the Police Day, in ministries, government agencies, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies, public business sector companies and the private sector, and he explained The Minister states that the employer may employ the worker on this day, if the work conditions so require, and the worker in this case, in addition to his wage for that day, is entitled to double that wage.
The Minister of Manpower, Hassan Shehata, presented to Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, and the brave policemen, their sincere congratulations and best wishes on this occasion, in which the policemen set the finest examples in the performance of national duty, in order to preserve the security and stability of the homeland, praying to God to restore our Egypt.
