The Italian Football Association announced that Juventus had been deducted 15 points in the domestic league, due to suspicious player transfer deals and falsifying financial statements.
The federation also suspended elements of the club’s former management, including former president Andrea Agnelli, after new evidence from a separate criminal trial into the club’s finances.
Juventus can appeal the decision to the Italian Olympic Committee.
With 20 rounds remaining this season, Juventus finished third in the league, 10 points behind leaders Napoli.
The deduction of points will push him down to the middle of the table, outside the qualifying positions for the European Championships.
