A driver ojek online (ojol) he fell from his motorbike because he hit a hole in the middle of the road across from the Warung Jambu gas station, Kota Bogor. Ojol bounced off and was stabbed by the cart iron to death.
In the viral video seen detikcom, you can see a man stuck by a cart pushing iron in the face until it penetrates to the back of the head. The position of the cart appeared to be on the side of the road, while the victim’s motorbike was damaged at the front.
It was narrated that the man had an accident after hitting a utility cover hole in the middle of a nationally owned road on Jalan KS Tubun, Bogor City.
The Moments Stuck by the Cart Iron
An eyewitness, Romi, said that the victim who was driving the motorbike was driving from the Simpang Jambu Dua, Bogor City, towards the Bogor Outer Ring Road Intersection (BORR).
“It happened last night, the person died on the spot. It was scary, so after hitting the hole, the road was a bit damaged, he kept slamming into the iron that made the handle of the cart, pushing the cart, hit him in the face, went backwards,” said a local resident, Romi , when met at the scene of the incident, Friday (17/3/2023).
“The position of the cart is indeed parked there, the term, the one who has the scavengers, he is sleeping in the overhang of the kiosk,” he added.
Hole Patch City Government
After the victims took their lives, the Bogor City Government only moved. The Bogor City Government patched the hole the victim hit.
“The status of this road is a national road, maintenance is carried out by the center. So our steps are temporary. The first thing we will do is coordinate with the PUPR Ministry as the road owner,” said Head of Road Maintenance for the Bogor City PUPR Service Dian Setiawan in Bogor.
Dian said the pothole appeared because of the cover on the utility control tub. He said the cover for the hole was not permanent, so it damaged the asphalt and created a hole.
“Then we took quick action, as a precaution to find out what caused the hole. It turned out, after checking, this was a manhole or some kind of control tub in the middle of the road. We are looking for who owns this manhole. There are many utilities in the hole. said Diane.
