One of the youngest and narrowest geological connections between Africa and South America is the bend, or elbow, in northeastern Brazil. It crosses the coast of Cameroon today. Along the Gulf of Guinea The two continents are South America and Africa. It seems to be stretching continuously on such a narrow line. This allows animals on either side of this connection to move across.

Recently, an international research team led by paleontologists from Southern Methodist University in Texas, USA, revealed that more than 260 early Cretaceous dinosaur footprints were found in Brazil and Cameroon. It shows that dinosaurs that lived on land moved freely between South America and Africa millions of years ago. Paleontologists concluded that these footprints were stamped in the mud. river and ancient lake sediments 120 million years ago on one supercontinent called Gondwana.

Most fossil dinosaur footprints belong to the group of three-toed theropods, which includes large carnivorous dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus Rex or T. Rex on four legs, as well as ornithischian footprints. (Ornithischians) those with a bird-like pelvis.
