The Maharin picnic, organized by the district council, allowed a wide range of people who frequent this protected area to meet and find themselves in a spirit of conviviality.
The inhabitants of nearby Epahd, who had their table open, were confronted with the occasional gardeners mulling over their plots of land. Parents shared a meal, often on the ground, while their children went to taste the various activities that enriched the existing wooden structures for the occasion. A fast food area was also entrusted to the association of blood donors in Anglet, chaired by Patrick Vallat.
2,000 visitors
Welcomed by the Aturri Taldea choir and surrounded by the deputies responsible for the three blocks of the Angloy neighborhoods – Jean-Paul Ospital (also vice-president of the CCAS), Jean-Paul Gourgues and Caroline Oustalet – Claude Olive said he was happy about “this spade-nique du Maharin which perfectly illustrates the intergenerational bond that is one of the priorities of conviviality in this city ”.
This was visible throughout the park: tables occupied, two of which were reserved for Maharin residents; picnic on the grass with the family; commercial that gathers gardeners around Daniel Caplanne, the president of the association; climbing wall taking over, just like games. That Monday morning, there were about 2,000 people on the site. Successful bet.
