The popular instant messaging application, WhatsApp, is developing a new feature for its users. According to the website WABetaInfo, the latter concerns conversations. It allows you to pin important messages and ” put aside “ some messages that should disappear over time. The feature is not yet available and is currently being tested. In fact, the platform will allow users, through a new section, to have an option called “saved messages” distinct from “favorite posts”.
It will not be available to everyone
Authors will therefore have the option of deleting any message they keep. However, said messages cannot be saved indefinitely. It should be noted that this feature has been under development for almost a year. In addition, upon its effective deployment, the new WhatsApp feature will not be available to everyone. Thus, Android smartphone users will have priority over iOS users. As a reminder, the announcement of this feature comes a few days after WhatsApp announced three changes in a new update available.
First, WhatsApp users have the ability to share up to 100 photos and/or videos at a time. The information had been made public by the platform WabeTinfo. In addition to this innovation, users can caption their documents. This is a new feature which has been successfully passed through several tests on the beta version. The last innovation concerns the number of characters that can be entered for the subject as well as the description of a group. Initially at 512, it has now grown to 2048 characters. This change allows easier identification of groups.
