A DANA that has created conditions of “strong instability” that has resulted, on the Mediterranean coast, in that “discharge of hail from south to north”, as explained by Jorge Olcina, the professor of Regional Geographic Analysis at the University of Alicante and director of the Laboratory of Climatology. Fire brigade and local police interventions
This episode of cold drop has not caused personal injuries, although it does leave some intervention of the firefighters throughout the province and at the request, in most cases, of the local police.

The firefighters of the SPEIS of Alicante have intervened in the detachment of four roofs and seven emergencies to clean roofs, detachments of facades and accumulations of water. The most important, in Paraíso street, where at 4.30 am the false ceiling of a house was detached due to accumulation of water.
The firefighters have also intervened, at five in the morning, in a supermarket on Ausó and Monzó streets where part of the roof also fell. The establishment has been closed due to the risk of falling.

For its part, the Local Police controlled different areas of the city affected by water. The rescue on the Ocaña highway of a tourism that was immobilized by the accumulation of water on the road stands out. As a consequence of the fallen waterspout, services have been attended by sewer traps outside their place in Uruguay street, Benassau, Salamanca avenue, Orihuela, Bilbao, Jorge Juan. Provincial firefighters
In Cox, Catral and Redován members of the Provincial Firefighters Consortium have carried out actions related to the intense rainfall. Due to breakage of glass as a result of hail, they have intervened in a building on Calle San Francisco de Asis and another on Avenida Cartagena or by the fall of part of the roof tiles of the church located on Calle San Francisco de Asis as a result of a small tornado, in Elche. They have also made water drains, such as the Morena street in Alfaz del Pi.
